Mérida, Yucatan > Portland, Oregon

Portland Farmer's MarketLea and I have decided to leave Mérida for Portland, Oregon. We will miss the deep and wonderful friendships that we have nurtured since the fall of 2013. We will sincerely miss the wonderful Mayan people—their love of family, quiet tenacity and centuries-long connections to this magical place called the Yucatan. Our new home will enable us to further develop our art, explore a new landscape, develop new and reawaken old friendships and better maintain our health. Of course, it was not a decision made lightly. We will miss the house that we co-created. It has served us well for the past 4 years—enabling us to rediscover and deepen our art, our relationship and find our focus. Our new journey to Portland will begin in early 2018 after we return from my last set of art courses in Florence, Italy. On that trip we will visit Berlin, Paris, London, Lisbon and Venice.

Once that journey begins, I will post about the place and our life there.
