IMG_4001Weeks 31 and 32 were spent in Portland and Eugene, Oregon.

Lea and I are considering the possibility of  a summer home where we would spend summers during the hottest months of the year here in Mérida. Besides Oregon, we will, next spring, visit northern California (Santa Rosa and San Rafael area) and possibly Seattle. We will also continue to travel, while our health cooperates, during those months. We especially liked Portland’s friendliness, accessibility and farmer’s markets. It seems very walkable, has good public transportation and many wonderful parks. The lushness of the city would be a nice counterpoint to the blazing summer heat in Mérida. We enjoyed visiting with friends and new acquaintances who each gave us their insights into the plusses and minuses of Portland and Eugene. Stay tuned.
