Count Down to Merida

Lea and I are going to be in Merida for four days starring May 5. We will be:

  • making final decisions on appliances
  • selecting the last of our sinks
  • approving the sample of the hardwood doors
  • measuring the rough openings for the Centor screen system
  • meeting with the stone carver to discuss the carving of our logo (glyph) as designed by Kurt Mueller (see accompaning picture which shows our house number (Neutra type face, letter box and door bell)
  • reviewing paint samples
  • sorting out some last minute issues with the interior stone modules (long story but we hope we have found a solution)
  • reviewing the blue/white pasta tile for Lea’s studio
  • and generally sorting out the final to-do for the next few months.

The house is on track to be done by the end of September. If all goes well, we will be setting up house in the fall.
