Orpheus rising 2.jpgI have been accepted for admission to Angel Academy of Art beginning in January of 2017. I will be studying traditional drawing and painting using tradition studio methods. I will be gone from home 30 weeks a year from up to 3 years—depending on my progress.

This will be my second time to study in Italy. The first was in 1965. I was a student for a summer program through the University of Rome. We studied sculpture, art, archaeology, city planning and, of course, the Italian language.

I am grateful to my wife Lea who is fully supporting this new adventure. I am excited and a bit apprehensive. I suspect, at 68 years old, I may be one of the older people in the class. This will be fun. I will continue this blog but from a different perspective.
